How are mice getting into my home?
Mice are phenomenal creatures in the fact that they only need a hole the size of a dime to find their way indoors. If you have not had your house inspected for cracks and crevices, a mice infestation is inevitable.
Inspecting your home/business for cracks and crevices allows us to identify problem areas and seal them to guard your home against rodents.
What is the most effective termite treatment?
Termites are a tricky pest to treat since the treatment plan depends on the termite species, severity of the infestation, and the location/construction of the home. The safest answer we can give is to schedule a pest professional to inspect the home and develop a plan of attack for you. Trust us, it will save you stress and money to let professionals in the industry handle a termite infestation!
Do roaches really cause asthma attacks in children?
Cockroaches are the leading source of allergies and asthma attacks in children. Dead roaches, the pest’s saliva, and cockroach droppings contain allergens that can increase the severity of asthma in children.
Why can’t I get rid of roaches?
Cockroaches seem like an invincible pest, and unfortunately many homeowners release toxic fumes into their home with store-bought treatments in hopes of exterminating the pest. Our first answer for this pest’s difficulty: they are amazing hiders. Cockroaches can hide in the smallest of cracks. Our second answer: Roaches can survive on anything. We mean ANYTHING. They can munch on boxes (this is why we recommend no storing items in cardboard boxes), paper bags, and even glue. Our third answer: roaches like to keep busy. They reproduce every 30 days and can have anywhere from 30-50 babies each time.
How long after the first service will the pest(s) be gone?
Our answer to this greatly depends on many factors, the major ones being the severity of the infestation and the conditions. In many cases, we’re happy to report that the pest(s) are gone after the first service. However, one of our technicians will have to visit your home/business, perform an inspection, then give you an idea of about how many services your home/business will need to rid the pest problem.
Is quarterly pest control necessary?
Every season brings new pests. Summer time skyrockets in mosquito and stinging insect activity, spring time ramps up the termite activity, winter time forces rodents and wildlife indoors due to cold weather, and fall time is snake season. If your home is not prepared for all seasons of pest activity, an infestation is likely to occur. It’s also important for us to note that pest eggs are resistant to treatment. Quarterly services ensure that we terminate any pest eggs that hatch months after the pervious treatment.
We hope these common questions answered some of your pest concerns. If you still have unanswered questions, please reach out to us! We’d be happy to answer any and all questions you have!
